Can't help but blog this down.
"Please do not flip over the question paper until you are told to do so"
"You have 2 hours and your time starts now"
"Pens down stop writing"
Where do you normally hear all these? The answer is in an examination hall.
Not a difficult guess I bet. I completed my polytechnic studies in 2004 and now is already end of 2009. Gosh! 5 years of my life had just gone! Time flies!
9th of December 2009, 1500hours, Expo Hall 1 was my first battle since downing my student armour once again. Before I start I want to thank Raymond for the lift there and the billard game which we had. I alighted from Raymond's car at about 1445 hours and started marching towards the exam hall. The first scene which caught my attention was seeing students doing last minute revision. Flipping their notes away and trying to memorise theories and formulae. It really reminds me of the days in polytechnic. Slack all the way in the whole semester but only start revising till 1 or 2 days before examination.
After a 2 minute walk, I am finally within 10 metres radius of the exam vicinity. The events which happened then was the inspiration behind my post now. Till this minute while I am typing this sentence, I simply cannot forget the feeling that I experienced along the alley way of the Expo Convention Centre. It was so good! The air seem to smell better, surroundings seem to look better and the world seem to look simpler. It is just nice to step into an examination hall once again! Perhaps it is the freshness of being a student once more and the second chance which I can re-write my academic results that explains why the sight of the examination hall gates managed to kick up such an emotion in me.
Though I did not feel I did very well for the paper, at least not to my expectation, I strongly believed today's experience will be a big motivation for my next paper and hopefully the remaining 12 modules which I will be taking as I continue embarking on my journey of a top academic performer!
